Rahul Sarna MD

Dr. Rahul Sarna grew up just outside of Dallas in Plano, TX. He earned his degree in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Upon graduation, he began his career as a technical engineering consultant before pursuing his lifelong dream of becoming a physician.

He went on to earn his M.D. from The American University of the Caribbean in the Netherlands Antilles. His clinical training includes an internship in Internal Medicine at Griffin Hospital and residency in Anesthesiology at The University of Connecticut, where he received multiple awards and accolades. He completed a fellowship in Pain Management at SUNY Upstate Medical in Syracuse, NY.

Dr. Sarna takes a personalized and multidisciplinary approach to pain medicine, understanding that chronic pain can have a different impact on every patient. His focus is providing optimal care to help improve a patient’s quality of life. Dr. Sarna is highly specialized to treat a wide variety of pain conditions including cancer pain, back/joint pain, CRPS, headaches, peripheral neuropathies, abdominal pain, phantom pain with a special interest in neuromodulation.

In his free time, Dr. Sarna enjoys travelling, cooking with his wife and playing a round of golf with good friends.
